Andrew McMillan is senior pastor of the Comunidad Cristiana de Fe, Medellin, Colombia. He received his Masters of Divinity from Yale Divinity School in 1980, and pastored a Baptist church in New Jersey for 6 years, before being supernaturally called to Colombia in 1986 with his wife, Kathy. They served Pastor Randy MacMillan in Cali for 7 years and then in 1994 they were sent to plant a church in Medellin. At that time Medellin was the least churched city in the hemisphere, and number one in murders and kidnappings. The church has 7,500 people in attendance every weekend and 800 home groups.
Andrew & Kathy also serve on the Mission South America’s apostolic board.
He says he wanted to be a poet, smoke a pipe, live near a pond and publish mildly famous books, but seeing a face come to Christ is better than the best poems. Kathy and Andrew have also planted 16 churches. Their two sons, Andrew Michael and Christian, work in the church, dreaming together of greater things.
