In 1979 he started his own construction company specializing in luxury homes until 2003.
After 24 successful years in the construction industry, Skip and his wife Elizabeth, of 23 years, opened Courtyard Gardens in 1999, a 129 bed assisted living community in Jupiter, FL which they later sold in 2009. While Skip remains presently involved in South Florida’s residential and commercial real estate, he has found his greatest passion to be promoting positive transformation in the lives of people across the nation.
In 2009 Skip founded SCI; Strategic Cultural Initiatives is a 501c3 charitable foundation that is creating extraordinary lives for leaders and their people groups through transformational programs.
Strategic Cultural Initiatives is a character-based Leadership Company with the power of transformational training and experiential learning. This experience of transformation and our unique experiential learning model creates opportunities for people to follow their purposes, dreams and goals with committed action. A major benefit of our training seminars is that participants are able to become better leaders through an increased level of understanding about human motivations and behaviors. This enables organizations to create a greater level of outcome-based results. SCI also launched a value and principle-based elementary and middle school program in which 600 students were impacted with the Anti Virus Youth program. Anti-Virus is the school values program created by Global Priority Solutions.
Skip is also an active board member of Youth for Christ and First Care in Palm Beach County and Alejandro Arias International Ministries.
Skip has been fervent over the years in pursuit of transformation in his own life with the purpose of being a “change agent for people and the culture they operate in”. Skip’s studies and certifications include:
- LaRed and Global Priority Trainer since 2008 with a focus on Florida’s prisons
