Growing up In Calgary, Alberta, a stone throw from the great Canadian Rockies , skiing, mountain climbing and hiking were regular challenges…always wanting to see the view from the other side, better yet from the top of the peak! Heart stopping, breath-taking vistas exquisitely satisfying. This capacity for adventure, hunger and pursuit of God led me to college, university and school of hard knocks.

My early career years of working in thriving oil & gas sector, retail and securities investment company left me personally unfulfilled. I craved to be invested with people, for a cause bigger than ourselves that would change lives and leave legacy for the future. God shaped my heart for His vision through 15 years serving in local church , 5 years with parachurch ministry and 3 years as Development officer/Capital Campaign chair. These years were preparation for my work of past 6 years - that of managing, leading and growing successful thrift store model - 'turning Furniture into futures, Housewares into Hope' that benefits and changes lives in my neighbourhood and around the world.

Creative joy comes from experiencing great outdoors - hiking, kayaking, photography, reading, design & landscape quilting and sharing this with family, friends & friends not yet met!
