Lee Yoder

Minority Partner, Weld County Garage

My name is Lee Yoder and I am retired from dealership. In phase 2 of my life I want to focus on facilitating RoundTables. I grew up Amish. I have an 8th grade education with a teacher who told me I can do anything as long as I can read. I have been in business most of my life, and had a service station in my twenties. I went into selling cars and soon was general sales manager and looked for a person who would help me start a company. Because of my success in business I found a man who helped me buy Weld County Garage in 1982. I started with 36 employees and it has grown to 150 employees. My son is now the dealer of Weld County Garage. I’ve studied a lot of John Maxwell teachings. I realize people want to follow a leader with values-based leadership. We used La Red’s free materials and did RoundTables in the dealership and it was very effective in business and in personal lives. (We really didn’t know what we were doing, but it was still very effective and impactful). I’ve been married to my wife Colleen for 56 years. We have three children, Sue, Sherry and Warren. We have 7 grandchildren and almost 8 great-grandchildren. And fortunately, everyone lives within 5 miles of us. Which is a great blessing!
