My name is Joel Poulin and I was born in the USA, but moved to beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia with my family when I was 12 years old and have lived here since. I am a journeyman tower crane operator, mostly working in high rise construction, but also have worked in large scale industrial hydroelectric projects as well as civil infrastructure projects. I love to learn, and I’m drawn to entrepreneurship and personal development. I gravitate toward any opportunity that would expand my knowledge or take me beyond my current capability to make me more effective as a human being. Just as John Maxwell says, “Everything rises and falls on leadership”, and I believe that ethical leadership is the foundation for success in any endeavor. Whether it be in government or in the private sector, leadership that begins with a focus on truly being selfless and beneficial to society, as a whole, is the greatest form of leadership that can be implemented today. I am in my third year of marriage with my beautiful wife Sharaya. We are looking forward to starting a family in the next year God willing.
