Jodi is from Vancouver, BC. At 18 she opened her first franchise, The Body Shop. By 1991 she had 5 retail locations and up to 200 staff over the holiday period. After 25 years, in 2010 she sold her business to focus on her family. During her tenure with The Body Shop she had the fortune of being on many boards, including their Roundtable and Leadership Group, which met four times a year. She also was on the Habitat for Humanity board and participated in 8 builds across Canada.
Jodi was a member of EO, Entrepreneurs Organization for 8 years. Throughout EO she attended monthly forum groups as well as monthly functions with highly acclaimed business leaders. During this time she was able to not only network but also learn from industry leaders outside of her retail business.
Jodi has participated in many seminars including Brian Tracy, The Pursuit of Excellence and The Wall, as well as several Dr. David Suzuki foundation roundtables. Lately we have had the pleasure of attending John Maxwell’s Exchange last year and again this year.
Jodi now does Retail Consulting and helps out local retailers in their hiring, training and staff/business evaluations. She also assists her husband, Gerry, in his business. Jodi runs the schools annual Christmas Craft fair, helps at the Church in many capacities as well as the local woman’s shelter, Covenant House.
Jodi and her husband Gerry met in high school and have been married for 22 years. They have 2 kids – Kaleigh is 19 and Maxwell is 18. We spend the summers at the lake where we waterski, surf and relax with friends and family.
