Claudia Ruiz Vasquez, born in Guatemala, married, mother of 4 young (male) adults, has called Aruba her home for more than 2 decades. Claudia is a well-known conceptual designer, and an artist herself.
Known by her eclectic style, bold use of colors and materials and unique custom made designs, done out of her own company, Arte Sano Design Studio. Claudia has designed and renovated properties, such as; Reina Beatrix Aruba Airport, the Club-House of the Divi Golf Resort, numerous high-end residential and commercial projects, and currently engaged in a full renovation / expansion of the Boardwalk Hotel, an exclusive boutique hotel on the island.
Encouraged by her husband, she is now focused on her passion within Arte Sano Foundation full-time, of which she is the founder and creative director. The aim of the foundation is to give vocational -artistic training (creating artsy souvenirs as a product line for the Aruba tourism market), to people at risk in Aruba (addicts, prison-youth, guardianship, parole etc.), based on the creative industries, and through this effort re-integrate these citizens back into the community.
